There are few things more beautiful to me than emptiness. Early attempts at abstract minimalism, fields of colour and a solitary object on horizon. Abstract simplicity evolved into fuzzy clutter. I desperately wanted to stop painting these, but continued to be drawn to whatever it is I was trying to find hidden deep in their void. Art Galleries, collectors and interior designers were drawn to their simple aesthetic appeal. I was very thankful. Eventually I put the series to rest and ignited my scribble painting series
. In secret, I have a few abstract minimalist landscape paintings in progress and may relaunch a similar series in 2018.
